VersaMarine is a speciality marine engineering company providing services to the offshore oil and gas industry.

VersaMarine staff has played key roles in many recent major projects worldwide including but not limited to the design, transportation and installation of Kizomba A and B TLP’s for ExxonMobil in West Africa, Magnolia TLP for ConocoPhillips in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM), Shenzi TLP for BHPB in the GoM, Gumusut Semisubmersible for Shell in Malaysia and Nakika Semisubmersible for Shell in the GoM.

What We Do

Based on in-house capabilities and resources VersaMarine can provide the following analysis, design and engineering consulting services:

• State-of-the-art multi-body hydrodynamic simulations in both frequency and time-domain
• Conceptual studies to help clients to select the most efficient deepwater concept and optimum installation technique
• Global sizing for conventional and unconventional Tension Leg Platforms (TLPs)
• Global sizing for Semisubmersibles and Spars
• Stability checks and environmental loading on offshore structures
• In-place global performance and airgap analyses for TLPs, Semisubmersibles and Spars
• Pre-service global performance analyses for TLPs, Semisubmersibles and Spars
• Tendon, riser and mooring system analysis, design and verification
• Hydrodynamic loads and design wave recipes for global structural analysis of TLPs, Semisubmersibles and Spars
• Long-term response based analysis of offshore platforms
• Dry transportation global performance analysis of offshore platforms and facilities with an emphasis on the cargo stability over the vessel, wave slamming and fatigue during transportation
• Deck installation analyses for both floating and fixed platforms using alternative installation methods
• Wave basin tests, VIM towing tank tests and wind tunnel tests for offshore platforms including specification preparation, monitoring, post-processing and interpretation of model testing results
